Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Asset Moth collects, uses, protects, and stores information when you visit the marketplace, create an account, apply to sell, purchase products, upload products, download files, or otherwise use the site.

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

1. Information we collect

Asset Moth collects information you provide directly, information created when you use the marketplace, and limited technical information that helps the website function, protect accounts, and deliver digital downloads.

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, password login information, account role, account status, referral source, and account activity. Passwords are stored securely. Asset Moth does not store plain text passwords.

2. Buyer information

If you use Asset Moth as a buyer, we may collect marketplace activity such as products viewed, products wishlisted, designers followed, cart activity, purchase history, download history, selected license details, marketplace credit activity, and support requests.

3. Designer and seller information

If you apply to become a designer or sell products on Asset Moth, we may collect application details, display name, desired store name or store URL name, bio, portfolio links, social links, website link, product types, AI usage details, storefront images, store announcements, product listings, preview images, protected digital product files, pricing, license settings, POD permission settings, AI disclosure labels, sales records, referral activity, and future creator rank progress.

Some designer information may be shown publicly on storefronts, product pages, search results, category pages, and other public marketplace pages.

4. Product and upload information

When designers upload products, Asset Moth may collect and store product titles, descriptions, pricing, preview images, protected digital download files, tags, categories, license settings, POD permission, AI disclosure, product status, sales count, view count, and wishlist count.

Preview images and public product details may be visible on the marketplace. Protected digital download files are not intended to be publicly accessible and are only available through approved download access after purchase.

5. Purchase and payment information

When you make a purchase, Asset Moth may collect order-related information including your buyer account, products purchased, designer connected to each product, license selected, order number, subtotal, credits applied, total amount, purchase date, and download access.

Asset Moth may use a third-party payment processor to process payments. Payment processors may collect and process payment details, billing details, fraud prevention information, and other information needed to complete transactions. Asset Moth does not intend to store full credit card numbers on its own servers.

6. Download and security logs

Because Asset Moth sells digital files, download-related information may be collected to protect designers, buyers, and the marketplace. Download logs may include user account, product downloaded, file downloaded, IP address, device or browser information, and date and time of download.

7. Information collected automatically

When you visit Asset Moth, certain information may be collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring pages, date and time of visit, general location based on IP address, and website performance data.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Asset Moth uses cookies and similar technologies to help the website function properly. Cookies may be used for login sessions, CSRF protection, cart workflows, basic preferences, account security, and marketplace functionality.

You can usually adjust cookie settings through your browser. Some parts of the website may not work correctly if cookies are disabled. If Asset Moth later uses analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tracking tools, this policy may be updated to describe those tools more clearly.

9. How we use information

Asset Moth may use collected information to create and manage accounts, allow buyers to browse and purchase digital products, allow designers to apply and sell products, process orders, provide download access, track license details, display storefronts and product listings, manage wishlists and followed designers, prevent fraud and abuse, protect digital downloads, provide customer support, send account-related emails, improve search and browsing, maintain marketplace security, review designer applications, review products, track referrals and credits, and comply with legal, tax, security, or business obligations.

Some information you provide may be public, including designer display name, bio, storefront logo or avatar, storefront banner, store announcement, social links, website link, product listings, preview images, product descriptions, product tags, product categories, AI disclosure labels, POD permission labels, and reviews or ratings if those features are offered.

Please do not include private information in public bios, product descriptions, reviews, or storefront content.

11. How we share information

Asset Moth does not sell your personal information for money. Information may be shared only when needed to operate the marketplace, provide services, process payments, protect the site, or comply with legal requirements.

Information may be shared with payment processors, website hosting providers, email service providers, security and fraud prevention tools, analytics providers if used, customer support tools if used, legal or tax professionals, and law enforcement or government authorities when legally required.

12. Email communications

Asset Moth may send emails related to your account or marketplace activity, including account verification, password resets, order confirmations, download access, license receipts, designer application updates, product approval or rejection notices, customer support responses, important policy updates, and marketplace security notices.

If marketing emails are offered, you will be able to unsubscribe from those emails. Important account, purchase, legal, or security emails may still be sent when necessary.

13. Referrals, credits, and marketplace activity

Asset Moth may offer referral links, marketplace credits, creator ranks, sponsored listings, bundle events, and other marketplace features. To support these features, we may track referral source, referred account, qualifying purchases, credit balance, credit transactions, designer sales counts, creator rank progress, sponsored listing impressions and clicks, bundle participation, and marketplace commission records.

14. Designer earnings and payouts

If you sell on Asset Moth, information may be collected and processed to calculate marketplace commissions, seller earnings, referral rewards, payment status, refund status, and payout status.

If a third-party payment provider is used for seller payouts, that provider may collect additional information to verify identity, prevent fraud, process payments, and meet legal or financial requirements.

15. How we protect information

Asset Moth uses reasonable security measures to help protect personal information, account information, orders, and protected digital files. These measures may include secure password storage, protected sessions, restricted admin access, restricted seller access, CSRF protection, prepared database statements, file upload validation, protected download routes, download access checks, security logging, and limiting access to personal information.

No website, server, or online system can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your login information private and using a strong password.

16. How long we keep information

Asset Moth keeps information for as long as needed to provide marketplace services, maintain account records, protect digital downloads, complete orders, support tax or legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and operate the website.

If you request account deletion, some information may still be kept when required for legal, tax, security, fraud prevention, payment, marketplace integrity, or recordkeeping reasons.

17. Your choices

Depending on your location and account type, you may have the right to access personal information we have about you, correct inaccurate account information, request deletion of certain information, close your account, unsubscribe from marketing emails, change browser cookie settings, or contact us with privacy questions.
